The Game of Land Mine

Contrary to the computer game, land mine is a beer centered game meant for round tables with atleast 4 members participating. You can play with less, but it is not suggested as you may not make it to that party or bar later.

Requirements: 24 pack of beer(No more than four players per case of beer), one smooth round table, 2 double shot glasses, a quarter, atleast 4 players with chairs, and a roll of paper towel (for mess).

Basic rules: It is a free for all game where alliances to get another member drunk may sometime occur explained later on.

Step 1: Begin with a 24 pack of beer or the dirty 30 for champions.

Step 2: Begin by opening a beer and savoring that great beer flavor your about to drink so much of.

Step 3: Fill two double shot glasses up with beer

Step 4: Spin coin on table and take shots of beer before quarter falls

Step 5: Stop quarter before it stops moving or repeat turn.

-Special rules: All players must have an open beer

-Players who finish there beers may use them as landmines by placing empty can over quarter while another player is spinning the coin.

-Landmines are permanent for the entire game unless your going World War I and World War II style (2 rounds duh)

-If you notice a player finishes there beer and tries to conceal the can to use as a landmine you may tap there can making it a landmine in the spot the

drinker left it and if it has more than just backwash in it, the accusing player must take two shots with out spinning the quarter. Resume play after shots are taken.

-Player hit with a landmine while coin is spinning must restart turn.

-Landmines are landmines for a reason, if a player spins a coin and it hits a empty can player must finish shots and restart turn.

There you go!

Start slowly and work your way through a few turns. You start out drinking slow, but once cans start to cover the battlefield you’ll regret the ting evertime you hit it late in the game. Just ask the sidekick’s nemesis how 12 turns in a row went for him.

Sidekick quick tip: Things get messy out there! You lose precious hopps to the table so keep a paper towel or rag handy to wipe down in front of people to keep your sleeves clean. Also remove bottle caps on landmines to prevent losing your beer on the field, trust us it becomes a hassle when your drunk. Is this my can, is this my can, is this my can, woah time warp =].

Sidekick Party Dip

1 Philadephia Cream cheese spread bar (Reduced fat works great!)

1 can of diced tomatoes any brand

1/2 pound of Ground Beef (Preferably low fat content)

1 bag of tostitos scoops

Aprroximate cost:

Let’s Make It!

Step one: Brown the ground

Let’s start by placing the ground beef in a frying pan (9 in. preferred) cooking on medium heat until all meat is brown and no pink is visible. Depending on the fat content of the ground beef, draining of the grease may be required. Simply gauge this by moving the meat to one side and tilting the pan allowing the grease to flow to the empty side. Dab paper towel into grease to soak up the excess. You don’t have to get it all, but remove most of the grease.

Step two: Diced tomatoes

Once the ground beef has turned brown, add the can of diced tomatoes. The can should be drained and pressed by pushing down the lid of the open can. Careful as the can may be sharp. Add the diced tomatoes to the medium heat pan stirring often. Once the dish starts sizziling again move to step three.

Step three: Philadelphia Cream Cheese Spread

Add the stick of cream cheese to the pan stirring continuously. Once the cream cheese has completely melted, continue stirring for approximately 1 to  2 minutes or until dip starts steaming. Pour into large bowl and enjoy with tostitos scoops!

College Sidekick approval: 4.5 Stars

Critic’s comments: Add a dash of chipotle seasoning with the tomatoes for a zingy result
